Our Mission

Members of the English department created a book club that would focus on adolescent literature to enhance their knowledge of current YA literature. Staying current with the world of publishing allows teachers to provide recommendations for books to students.  Having a better grasp of what is out is beneficial in assisting students achieve reading gains, as they will be able to point students to quality books that would be accessible to the various levels of reading.  It also creates a reading culture, as student see teachers reading and talking about books.
